About Palace Barber & Style Shop
Palace Barber & Style Shop is a barber shop at 110 N Church St, just north of the Public Square in downtown Murfreesboro. It opened in March 1932 in the basement of the Commerce Union Bank under manager Ira Johns, formerly of the White Front Barber Shop, moved to 111 East Main Street in the 1950s, and has been on North Church Street since 1993. For decades its customers could also get a shine from longtime shoeshine man Jim "Snap-eye" Taylor.
