What Happened

Rutherford County Fire & Rescue (RCFR) was dispatched to a report of a building fire on Fosterville Road at about 6 p.m. In a post on its Facebook page the next day, the department said the first units to arrive found fire throughout the building, and that the fire had also spread into a nearby field and barn.

Crews worked to contain the fire and keep it from spreading further. RCFR said the store building was a total loss, but firefighters were able to hold the fire to the immediate area. Crews stayed on scene for more than four hours to put the fire out and make sure the area was safe.
